The Edo Purple colour is inspired by Edo-murasaki, a traditional purple associated with the history and culture of Tokyo. The result is a much more distinctive take on the familiar Seiko 5 Sports/SKX design.

The watch is powered by Seiko's 4R36 automatic movement, which also allows manual winding and provides approximately 41 hours of power reserve. It features a practical day/date display, unidirectional rotating bezel and see-through screw case back.
