The Frédérique Constant Manufacture Classic Worldtimer [FC-719LBWD3DH6] transforms one of the Maison's signature complications into an extraordinarily rare expression of fine watchmaking and jewellery craftsmanship. Limited and individually numbered to just 88 pieces worldwide, this exceptional edition combines a manufacture worldtimer calibre, a newly refined 40 mm case, an intricate world-map dial and 82 diamonds totalling approximately 0.838 carats

At its heart is the new FC-719 Manufacture automatic calibre, the 35th movement developed in-house by Frédérique Constant. Its architecture provides an extended 72-hour power reserve, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and allows the entire worldtime complication to be controlled through a single crown. There are no additional pushers interrupting the elegant profile of the case.

The worldtimer simultaneously displays the time across 24 reference time zones. At the centre, a silver-coloured world map rises in relief against light blue sunray oceans and grey grained continents. Surrounding it, the city disc identifies 24 international reference cities, while the adjacent 24-hour ring differentiates daytime from nighttime. Despite the amount of information being displayed, the absence of a date complication gives this new generation a notably cleaner and more balanced dial.

A Worldtimer Reimagined as Fine Jewellery

What elevates this particular reference beyond the standard Classic Worldtimer is its extraordinary diamond setting.

The polished stainless steel bezel carries 70 diamonds totalling approximately 0.785 carats, creating a brilliant frame around the worldtime display. A further 12 diamond hour indexes totalling approximately 0.053 carats punctuate the dial. Combined, the watch carries 82 diamonds totalling approximately 0.838 carats

The effect is deliberately sophisticated rather than ostentatious. The diamonds illuminate the architecture of the watch while allowing the world map and complication to remain the visual focal point.

The New FC-719 Manufacture Calibre

Visible through the sapphire exhibition caseback, the FC-719 represents an important evolution of Frédérique Constant's manufacture worldtimer.

Entirely conceived, developed, produced, assembled, adjusted and encased at the Maison's manufacture in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva, the automatic calibre comprises 193 components, uses 26 jewels, beats at 4 Hz and delivers approximately three full days of autonomy. Decorative finishing includes perlage, sunray Côtes de Genève and a satin-finished, snailed oscillating weight.

Most impressively, Frédérique Constant retains the elegant single-crown operation that has helped distinguish its Worldtimer since the collection's introduction in 2012. Local time, worldtime and the 24-hour indication can be adjusted without the visual clutter of additional case pushers.

A More Refined 40 mm Case

For this new generation, Frédérique Constant reduced the Worldtimer to a beautifully proportioned 40 mm stainless steel case measuring 12.53 mm thick.

That reduction gives the complication a more refined presence on the wrist while preserving the visual impact expected of a true worldtimer. An anti-reflective sapphire crystal protects the intricate dial, while the transparent caseback provides an unobstructed view of the manufacture movement. Water resistance is rated to 5 ATM / 50 metres.

Two Personalities, One Exceptional Watch

Frédérique Constant supplies this limited edition with two interchangeable alligator leather straps—one light blue and one navy blue—allowing the character of the watch to change considerably.

The quick-change system makes switching between them straightforward, while the 75 × 115 mm strap dimensions and folding buckle provide the precise details expected from a high-end manufacture piece.

For the collector considering a worldtimer from Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin, Omega or IWC, the Classic Worldtimer Manufacture presents a fascinating proposition. Rather than attempting to imitate those watches, Frédérique Constant delivers its own manufacture interpretation of the complication, combining an extraordinarily small 88-piece production run, genuine in-house calibre and extensive diamond setting at a markedly different position within the luxury market.

It is simultaneously a sophisticated travel complication, an expression of Geneva manufacture watchmaking and a genuinely rare jewellery timepiece—qualities that make FC-719LBWD3DH6 one of the most exceptional executions of the Classic Worldtimer to date.

Why You'll Love It

This is not simply a diamond-set version of an existing watch. The combination of an 88-piece worldwide production run, manufacture FC-719 movement, true 24-time-zone worldtimer and extensive diamond setting makes it an unusually specialized collector's piece.

The 40 mm proportions also make this generation considerably more versatile. Frédérique Constant has managed to fit a visually complex complication into a case that remains elegant rather than oversized, while the date-free dial places greater emphasis on the world map itself.

Perhaps most importantly, it occupies an unusual position in the market. True manufacture worldtimers are typically associated with considerably higher levels of luxury-watch pricing. FC-719LBWD3DH6 provides the mechanical substance and visual theatre enthusiasts expect from the complication while adding the rarity of an 88-piece jewellery edition.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is FC-719LBWD3DH6 really limited to only 88 watches?

Yes. Frédérique Constant identifies this reference as a limited and numbered edition of only 88 pieces worldwide, making it considerably rarer than the standard-production Classic Worldtimer models.

Is the FC-719 an in-house movement?

Yes. FC-719 is a genuine Frédérique Constant Manufacture calibre. The Maison states that its Manufacture watches are designed, developed, produced, assembled, adjusted and encased at its workshops in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva.

How does the worldtimer work?

The dial combines a world map, 24 reference cities and a 24-hour day/night ring, allowing the wearer to read the time across 24 reference time zones simultaneously. Frédérique Constant's design is particularly convenient because its functions are controlled through the crown rather than additional pushers.

How many diamonds are on the watch?

There are 70 diamonds on the bezel and 12 diamond hour indexes, for a total of 82 diamonds. Frédérique Constant specifies approximately 0.785 ct on the bezel and 0.053 ct on the dial, giving a combined weight of approximately 0.838 carats

Does it come with a second strap?

Yes. Frédérique Constant supplies the limited edition with two interchangeable alligator straps, including light blue and navy blue options. The straps measure 75 × 115 mm and use a quick-change system.

How does it compare with much more expensive worldtimers?

The appeal is not that it attempts to replace watches from Patek Philippe or Vacheron Constantin. Rather, Frédérique Constant offers a genuine manufacture worldtime complication, sophisticated finishing and extremely limited production at a substantially more accessible position in the luxury-watch market. For collectors who prioritize mechanical substance and rarity over brand prestige alone, that makes the Classic Worldtimer particularly compelling.
