Created to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first Citizen-branded watch, the Attesa LAYERS of TIME AT8286-65E draws inspiration from the rock and mineral formations within the Earth’s crust. Its dial combines 100% recycled polycarbonate with pigment-free structural colour ink, producing green, purple and blue reflections that change with the viewing angle. Patterned rings around the upper and lower subdials add depth, while luminous hands and markers provide contrast. A 42 mm Super Titanium case and matching bracelet feature a dark DLC finish, complemented by anti-reflective sapphire crystal. Limited to 2,100 unnumbered pieces worldwide, this anniversary edition pairs distinctive colour with lightweight construction.

Citizen’s H800 Eco-Drive movement uses natural or artificial light to power the watch, eliminating routine battery changes. Radio-controlled timekeeping corrects the time and calendar wherever compatible signals can be received, while crown-operated world-time selection offers access to 26 time zones. A 1/20-second chronograph measures elapsed time up to 60 minutes, supported by a perpetual calendar, day and date displays, and a power-reserve indicator. Water resistance to 100 metres adds everyday practicality to a watch whose geological inspiration gives each glance at the dial something new to appreciate.
