Because temperature fluctuation is one of the primary variables that can influence quartz performance, The CITIZEN is equipped with a temperature correction function that automatically monitors internal temperature once per minute (1,440 measurements per day) and continuously adjusts to preserve accuracy over time. 

Powered by light, Citizen’s Eco-Drive technology continuously converts natural or artificial illumination into stored energy—eliminating battery replacement. The AQ4100-22A is also equipped with advanced daily-wear functions including perpetual calendar, power reserve indication, time difference correction, and a midnight sharp calendar update for crisp date transitions.
