THE STORY OF OUR TIME

The Big Crown Pointer Date at 38.00 mm is one of our most versatile designs. Featuring our iconic Pointer Date function and dressed with a midnight blue dial, it now also comes on an H-link metal bracelet with an ergonomic Oris-developed clasp.

AN ALL-TIME CLASSIC

The first Big Crown Pointer Date appeared in 1938, since when it has become a collection mainstay and an icon of Swiss watch design. This edition is elevated by our in-house developed Calibre 403, a five-day automatic created for today’s world citizens.

HIGHER CALIBRE

The Calibre 403 automatic belongs to our high-performance Calibre 400 Series of in-house developed movements. As well as a five-day power reserve, elevated anti-magnetism and a 10-year warranty, it also has a small seconds at 6 o’clock.

ANTI-MAGNETISM

Swiss watches can be magnetised, affecting accuracy. Oris' Calibre 400 Series uses over 30 non-ferrous, anti-magnetic components for high anti-magnetism. Tests by Laboratoire Dubois showed Calibre 403 deviated under 10 seconds a day after 2,250 gauss exposure.

FIVE-DAY POWER RESERVE

Mechanical watches stop if not worn daily. Oris' Calibre 403, with a five-day power reserve, is ready when you are. It achieves this via twin barrels with extended mainsprings. It's highly accurate, to -3/+5 seconds a day, surpassing a chronometer.

10-YEAR WARRANTY

Oris offers a 10-year warranty on watches powered by the Calibre 400 Series, reflecting confidence in their advanced technologies. Registration at MyOris is required for the warranty extension. Oris also recommends 10-year service intervals for these watches.
