The Longines Ultra-Chron Automatic 43 mm [L2.836.4.52.2] epitomizes Longines’ legacy of precision timing and performance-driven design. Inspired by the iconic Ultra-Chron Diver of 1968 — the first dive watch equipped with a high-frequency movement — this modern reinterpretation features a black dial with Swiss Super-LumiNova®-treated hands and applied indexes for supreme legibility both above and below the surface. A unidirectional rotating bezelcomplements the robust stainless steel case, reinforcing its sporting purpose and dive-ready utility.
At its heart is a self-winding mechanical movement (Calibre L836) beating at 36,000 vibrations per hour (5 Hz), paired with a monocrystalline silicon balance spring to enhance magnetic resistance and timekeeping stability. The movement delivers an approximate power reserve of up to 52 hours, reflecting Longines’ commitment to durability and chronometric performance.
Finished with a black leather strap secured by a buckle, this Ultra-Chron model pairs classic dive watch character with refined presentation. Protected by a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating and water resistance to 30 bar (300 metres), it is equally at home on daily wear or active exploration.
