LIMITED EDITION OF 99 PIECES WORLDWIDE - FIRST PIECE MADE | #01/99
**THE ONLY ONE IN CANADA**
If there’s one word that sums up the Slimline Perpetual Calendar Manufacture Designed by Peter Speake, it’s ‘openwork’. The British watchmaker has brought an ethereal, contemporary touch to Frederique Constant. Solid surfaces have been cut away to reveal the innermost workings of the Manufacture movement. All of the displays have been skeletonised, as have the hands (to which a luminous coating has been applied), revealing the mechanical ballet of the FC-775 calibre in all its glory; the seconds hand has been done away with altogether to preserve the assertively functional ethos.
Prepare to immerse yourself in mechanical artistry with the Frederique Constant x Naked Watchmaker Slimline Perpetual Calendar (01/99). This unique release is the first true collaborative timepiece between Frederique Constant and The Naked Watchmaker (Peter Speake and Daniela Marin), representing a bold vision: to “deconstruct” the perpetual calendar and expose its fascinating intricacies.
Frederique Constant’s original Slimline Perpetual Calendar, introduced under their manufacture philosophy, was already admired for bringing the ethereal complication of a perpetual calendar into a more accessible price tier. In this collaboration, the dial is dramatically reimagined — much of the dial plate is removed to reveal the mechanics beneath. The result: brown skeleton subdials, blue bridges, skeleton hands and exposed wheels become the visual centerpiece.
The perpetual calendar functions remain: day, date, month, leap year, moonphase. However, modifications were made: the leap year indicator is simplified to a colored dot between “Jan” and “Mar” rather than a hand, and the moonphase disc animation is exposed with dual moons.
Despite the visual complexity, the watch retains much of the original QP’s dimensions — a 42 mm case diameter and ~11.3 mm thickness are preserved to maintain wearability. Water resistance remains 30 m.
This edition is limited to just 99 timepieces, and each is engraved with its number, making it a highly collectible and exclusive offering.
Owning this timepiece means embracing horological transparency — the “naked” motif is literal: mechanical beauty is no longer hidden but celebrated. It’s ideal not just for collectors wanting complications, but for those who appreciate the visual poetry of watch mechanisms.
